Sadly, critical incidents happen in the workplace. Whether it is an overdose, death, or instance of violence, Jami is trained in various restorative justice modalities, which include facilitating restorative circles to rebalance justice and healing in the community. She has had the opportunity to host healing circles after critical incidents in several social services organisations, with staff and community members. Often, these are collective ways of making meaning and finding understanding and supporting the team or community after a critical incident.
Is productivity and morale low? There are probably 'low-hanging fruit' issues within the organisation that can be dealt with, to not only improve the team's quality of life but also to increase productivity and morale. Let us figure out what isn't working.
Circular consultancy believes that the answers to workplace issues are already housed within the team. Your team most likely knows what it needs to fix the organisational problem. A team input report is where Jami works directly with the team to get a sense of tension points and organisational issues, and creates a trauma-informed, employee-led report for leadership teams and board members. Not only is this often deeply helpful to team members who don't feel heard, it's a concise and impactful report that can help leadership teams adjust their approach in the workplace.
Circular believes in the moto ' nothing about us without us'. Often, funding priorities can dictate the work we are doing at our organization, but are we really serving the community we set out to serve? Is our community heard, seen and felt in the work we are doing? Lets find out.
